Learn about the culture, socio-economical activities, problems, history and way of life of the “Matagalpinos” (people from Matagalpa).
This original tour is designed to experiment the daily life in this important Nicaraguan city. We will visit the “Cemetery of the foreigner”, the museum of Carlos Fonseca, the coffee museum, the city center with its old cathedral and the Guanuca market, the symbol of the economic activity for the Nicaraguan farmers.
Finally we will visit the chocolate factory “El Castillo del Cacao” where you will be able observe the production process and taste one of the best Nicaraguan chocolates.
Chocolate factory is open from Tuesday to Saturday and museums from Monday to Friday
