The indigenous community “El Chile”, is located east of Matagalpa and is rich in history and culture.
On this tour, we visit the workshop of a group of woman fabric weavers where we will see the production process as well as the different products that they make such as: bags, purses and backpacks.
We follow with a walk through the village and a hike (40 minutes) up to the “El Chile” hill with its 360 degree view of all the surrounding mountains.
Then we will get to enjoy the day even more by partaking in a typical lunch at one of the lady’s houses who will give you an inside look at their way of life.
During this tour it is possible to buy handicrafts directly to women who produce it.
