La Corona is located 25 kilometers from Matagalpa, a community full of natural attractions where it is running a program of community-based tourism and carried out various environmental conservation projects.
We will take you to the Diversified farm La Canavalia, a model farm pioneer in development of products and alternative farming techniques. Afterwards we will visit the farm of Don Alfredo Rayo, a producer who proudly shows us is farm and lets us be part of the coffee production process.
After lunch we will hike two hours by secondary forest and communities to reach the river Yasika, which offers beautiful scenery, waterfalls and the chance to go for a swim at the Salto Escondido or Cascada Blanca.
